This month we're hosting events at CPL locations across the city to support students working on science fair projects.
Presented by science aficionado Steve Belliveau and Mad Science of Chicago, these workshops walk fourth- through sixth-graders through the steps of the scientific method, a major part of any successful science fair project. The events are designed to prepare and inspire students to tackle experiments of their own designs. Check out the complete list of science fair workshops in October.
These programs are funded by grants to the Chicago Public Library Foundation.
We've also put together a list of science fair project books to help students through the process of developing and executing science experiments.
Be sure to check out our science online resources for kids for great research tools to help you find the background information you need to conduct a thorough project.
