Patrick McBriarty, author of Chicago River Bridges, will provide a multimedia presentation on Chicago's bridges at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 at the Harold Washington Library Center.
McBriarty will recount his journey into this amazing topic of innovation, design and major contributions by Chicagoans to moveable bridge technology. The Windy City has long been a center for drawbridge development, making Chicago the Drawbridge Capital of the World, and the greatest working drawbridge museum on Earth.
The author will sign books after the program; books will be for sale.
Seating is limited and is first come, first served.
