Where do you spend your weekends in the summer? At street festivals, of course!
Street festivals abound in this great city of ours, and we've decided to join the fun. Keep an eye out for our new Games on the Go, designed to give you a little breather between the hot dogs, cold drinks and deep-dish delicacies.
This Saturday, July 11, we'll be at West Fest in West Town, and on Sunday, July 12, we'll be at Square Roots Festival in Lincoln Square. Come play favorite games such as Bananagrams and Apples to Apples and explore other games like Get Bit! and Escape: The Curse of the Temple.
We'll have chairs and tables at our booth, so you can learn to play a quick game and challenge our librarians. We'll also show you how to download music, movies and eBooks to your phone using our website.
Just be on the lookout for a giant block tower in free fall, and you'll find friendly but competitive librarians waiting to be challenged!
Keep the Game Going at the Library
Following the street festivals, please visit Sulzer Regional Library and West Town Branch, where we'll have dedicated space for people looking to keep the game going!
Games on the Go is made possible by generous grants to the Chicago Public Library Foundation.
