The exhibit Powered by Femmes: A Showcase of Women and Femme Artists in Chicago is on display March 8 to March 30 at Harold Washington Library Center, in the display cases in the 3rd Floor Exhibition Hall.
This exhibit showcases the work of five artists living and producing art in Chicago: Kayla Anderson, Kat Buckley, Fay Nowitz, Kaleigh Post and Sherae Rimpsey. Using an array of art styles, they encourage us to think through the roles of women in society, materials we associate with women and femininity, and what it means to pay respect to the different women around us.
