Need to get registered to vote or unsure of your registration status? Now you can find answers and register online from wherever you have access to the Internet.
To register to vote, visit Illinois Online Voter Application. You'll need a valid Illinois driver's license or state ID. You can also update your name or address at this link. October 23, 2016 is the deadline to use the online system.
If you want to check to make sure you are registered, visit the Chicago Board of Elections website. You'll also get information on the location of your polling place, your district and ward boundaries, and how to contact your elected officials. Sample ballots will also be available.
