Experience the beaded artworks of Renata Maliszewski on display September 1 through November 5 at Harold Washington Library Center on the ground floor in the Popular Library exhibit cases and Congress Corridor east display window.
Maliszewski is from Krakow, Poland, a place filled with rich culture and hard-working, creative people. Her sewing skills began there as well, mending clothing and decorating her home with handmade draperies. She came to Chicago and never left. In her home away from home, she found love, higher education and finally the time to go back to what she enjoys! With beads and her sewing skills, she is able to capture beautiful moments and scenery from the city she now calls home.
