The Resilient Souls Project is on display July 16 through November 18 in Congress Corridor at Harold Washington Library Center.
The exhibit features 21 women photographed by Cathy Lander-Goldberg in 1998 and again in 2018. The original Resilient Souls exhibit took place in 1998 and explored a variety of issues including mental health, sexual assault, illness, immigration, adoption, unplanned pregnancy, challenges in school, violence and grief. Two decades later, we revisit these women’s continued journeys, including their trials, triumphs and growth.
Photographer and curator Lander-Goldberg will give a Gallery Talk at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 19 in Congress Corridor on the ground floor of Harold Washington Library Center.
