The usually quiet Clearing Branch was invaded on Tuesday July 16th by Beth Wagner and her "Scales and Tales" travelling zoo show.
Over 120 kids and adults were on hands to watch and listen as Beth Wagner brought out animal after animal; anteater, pig, owl, sloth, chinchilla, baby chicks and even a snake. The kids laughed as the pig raced around and ate out of each child's hand and cheered as the owl flew across the auditorium.
This performance was presented as part of the Chicago Public Library Rahms Readers:Summer Learning Challenge.
