Bryam P., Age 17, just graduated from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
A patron of the Portage-Cragin Branch, he explained that he has learned a lot of lessons since migrating to the United States at the age of eleven. He's from a small family with a single mother, and has been driven to grow and learn.
"My passion is to make art. My artwork means everything to me; it makes me happy, and it shows how much I’ve improved over the years, not only artistically, but also academically.”
Check out another painting by Bryam in the Teen Summer Challenge: Imagine Doing More! booklet (page 9), and don't miss opportunities in which you can have fun learning at upcoming tween/teen programs at Portage-Cragin branch! #CPLTeens #ImagineAtCPL
Last, but not least, don't miss the Born to Create exhibit at the Harold Washington Library Center in the third floor gallery, featuring other inspiring works by teens in Chicago who were part of the 2017-18 Teen Winter Challenge.
