Did you know the community room at Dunning Branch is converted regularly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons to a Teen Zone? Stop by and check it out or see upcoming Teen Zone events.
Activities range from exploring the audio kit to music mix, playing around with the concept of a podcast or layering sound over a video to coding with Scratch software, playing games, making Perler bead art and more.
This month, teens can also submit an entry (essay and poster) for "Use Your Senses," the annual Metra safety contest to promote public safety and well-being.
Daniel in Teen Services is open to new ideas for Teen Zone activities. Let him know if you're interested in art, nature, astronomy, earth science, languages, cultures, reading, information literacy, cycling, drawing, dance, photography, painting, DIY, cooking, history and civics, to name a few!
