Tellebration™ is a worldwide night of storytelling on or around the Saturday before Thanksgiving. At CPL, the Saturday before Thanksgiving is also a special day—the day we celebrate stories with Bookamania at the Harold Washington Library Center downtown.
November is also known for Family Reading Night, when families turn off their TVs and settle in for stories. This year’s event takes place Thursday, November 21.
At the West Belmont Branch we’re hosting storyteller Janice Del Negro, author of Lucy Dove and Passion and Poison. Families with children in school, join us to hear stories on the propitious date of 11/12/13 at 6:30 p.m. It’s our own Tellebration™ celebrating storytelling with stories to make you shiver.
Join us for stories at the branch, mark your calendar for Bookamania, and don’t forget to read with your children on Family Reading Night and every time you get the chance.
