As part of this season of One Book, One Chicago, exploring the theme "Music: The Beat of Our City," Columbia College Chicago hosts a fashion window display from March 5 to March 31. "The Iconic Mavis Staples: A Fashion Window Display" will be on exhibit at the Michigan Avenue Windows, 618 S. Michigan Avenue.
Check out this exhibition featuring garments selected from Columbia College Chicago’s Fashion Studies Collection, focusing on clothing styles from the 1970s, along with materials from the archives of the Center for Black Music Research, which illustrate the legendary career of Mavis Staples of the Staple Singers.
