The Living Newspaper Series is a twist on printed newspaper articles and features. Instead of reading about the latest news, engaging speakers bring it all to life in a series of events at Harold Washington Library Center.
The series starts on September 6 with an introduction to the appreciation of art, courtesy of art historian Jeff Mishur.
Next up on September 22 is a panel discussion about beer in Chicago with the co-owner of Liquor Park, and brewers from Pipeworks, Mikerphone and Spiteful.
And if you thought you couldn't get any more behind the scenes, Dave Gathman, newspaper movie reviewer between 1981 and 2007, dishes on the film industry on October 11.
The Living Newspaper is presented by HWLC's General Information Services Division and Newspapers and General Periodicals Department.
