On Monday, October 13, Roosevelt Branch welcomed a very special guest: Trudy, Miss Jenna's rabbit!
Trudy visited with kids and parents who participated in Explore and Roar, Chicago Public Library's 2014 Summer Learning Challenge.
Miss Jenna challenged Roosevelt learners to read 150,000 minutes as a group during the 8-week program. If kids met their goal, Miss Jenna promised to adopt a companion for Trudy from Chicago's Red Door Animal Shelter.
Roosevelt's 704 participants more than met their goal, reading 306,435 minutes! As promised, Miss Jenna is now working with the staff at Red Door to find the right match for Trudy.
Congratulations to all Roosevelt summer learners on their huge success!
