Rodney Freeman took the helm at Woodson Regional Library on December 29.
Freeman comes to CPL from the Hoosier State, where he was a manager at branch locations of the Indianapolis Public Library. He has also worked at the St. Louis Public Library.
He holds a bachelor's degree in political science and master's degrees in public administration and library science. While working toward his master's in library science, Freeman was awarded Indiana's "Librarians Leading in Diversity" fellowship.
Freeman, a native of the South Side, spends his spare time researching and preserving his family history and visiting with family and friends.
