YOUmedia is excited to participate in the Chicago City of Learning’s Destination: Chicago Summer Showcase from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, August 14 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
The showcase will highlight teens' creativity, hard work and making from their summer participation with organizations across the city. The three-part event includes a maker party, gallery and performance to recognize the achievements of teens across the city.
YOUmedia will be hosting a maker table to demonstrate its vinyl cutter by making stickers and bookmarks. In the gallery space, we are teaming up with NVAM to highlight the 25 memories project, as well as various teen work produced over the summer, including T-shirts, illustrations, music, videos and photos. There will also be an interactive display with iPads to highlight all the digital work teens created this summer.
Come join us to see and support the amazing work of teens. It's bound to be a fantastic display of teens exploring, discovering and making across our city.
